What is Motivation
Motivation is key. Whether you are trying to enhance your finances, start a business, grow your business, eat healthier, exercise etc., motivation is the key component to complete any goal that you may conceptualize.
Motivation is the general desire or willingness of someone to do something. It is the crucial element in setting and attaining one's objective. We all have the ability to influence our levels of motivation and self-control. Motivation can be derived from many sources being intrinsic, where the inspiration is from within and extrinsic, where the inspiration comes from outside sources-or people.
Start Working on your Goal

First, i can not stress to you how important it is to set realistic attainable objectives. Think to yourself about the things you want to change and the reasons for the change. Have a clear purpose for your goal so that you can stay focused and build the strength to accomplish it. Remember, small goals are easier to attain than larger ones, so make sure to set the level of difficulty of the challenge based on your ability to complete it. It is okay to start small and strengthen your abilities along the way. Great things come in small packages!
How to Motivate Yourself

Knowing how to motivate yourself can help you attain any goal you set your mind to whether, it is a personal, business, relationship or financial goal. You can do it! Here are a few simple tricks to help you get started:
1. Feng Shui Your Environment
Using the method of Feng shui is to use energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment. Create a positive environment that lifts the mood, promote positive and set a fire in your soul. You can use music that pump you up, inspirational music or even listen to audio books that have a positive message. Getting your mindset ready is a motivational tool that can prepare you to be one step closer to your goal.
2. Celebrate Your W'S
Have you ever heard of the statement that "slow and steady wins the race"? Hastily jumping into an activity, job, or something else can cause problems; sometimes a more consistent approach, even if it is slower, can be ideal and give better results; so move slower to ensure a better chance at having W's (wins) and lesser L's (losses). Also, remember to celebrate those W's. Celebrating your wins can give you a sense of accomplishment, because lets face it, it is! I remember when I first gave up tobacco. Yep...tobacco! It was very hard, however, everyday I gave myself small rewards like smiley faces on sticky notes, Italian ice treats; anything positive to acknowledge my accomplishment. Slow and steady can allow you to be goal-orientated and build a habit of being more effective.
3. Your Tribe is Your Vibe
"Your vibe attracts your tribe", meaning that whatever energy you emit brings like minded people into your life experience. Surrounding yourself with the right people or energy can be key. Being around ambitious people will inspire you to be more ambitious. Being around positive people will inspire you to be more positive. When that is such the case, social interaction is stimulating and simple.
What If You Lack Motivation

As discussed in an article on Psychology Today, "everyone feels demotivated or devoid of willpower at times. Even accomplishing a big goal can, paradoxically, lead to a listless lack of direction, as there's a sudden motivational void that needs to be filled, but no bullseye objective yet in sight.
If you're chronically unmotivated, or unable to begin a task that is of clear importance, several possibilities are in play. Your goals may need to be re-calibrated, usually because the task is too big or too amorphous and needs to be broken into smaller components. You may lack confidence, rather than motivation, and are therefore afraid to proceed. Close in kin to a lack of confidence are perfectionism and procrastination. If you inherently doubt your ability to accomplish the task at hand, you may feel anxiously motivated but incapable of taking action. It is in the gap between motivation and execution that many forms of self-sabotage and self-doubt lie, and it is important to identify what thought processes intercept the pipeline to goal achievement.
Finally, depression or dysthymia can lead to a sense of apathy. In these cases, lack of motivation is a symptom of low mood. The anhedonia associated with depression reflects an inability to sustain interest over a period of time, because the neurocircuitry that regulates reward and motivation—pathways between the prefrontal cortex and the nucleus accumbens— are not working in tandem. If a lack of motivation is tied to anhedonia, other symptoms of depression may be present". (Psychology Today, 2020).
